Job Type Permanent Position Contractual Position

NOTE:

  1. Candidates applying for an advertised position but having relevant work experience more or less than the prescribed experience for that position may be considered for suitable higher/ lower level, if they meet all other requirements.

  2. The post wise details of qualification and experience requirements are given above.

  3. Candidates called for Interview will be reimbursed Economy class airfare or AC 2 Tier to and fro train fare from their starting station or mailing address, within India, whichever is nearer to the place of Interview, by the shortest route on production of proof of journey.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Compensation will be on Cost to Company (CTC) pattern and shall be inline with the industry. The incumbents would be governed by special service conditions where performance will be the key to increments, promotions and rewards..

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

  1. Location of positing for the posts will be either Banharpali, Jharsuguda or Bhubaneswar depending upon requirement.

  2. Inorder to restrict the number of candidates to be called for Interview and/or for screening if so required, the management reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards/criteria, Management may also relax/lower the qualifying standards in case suitable candidates are not available.

  3. Depending on the requirement, the company reserves the right to cancel/restrict/curtail/enlarge the number of vacancies, if need so arises, without any further notice & without any reason thereof.

  4. Any legal proceeding in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement and /or an application in response thereto shall be subject to jurisdiction of the Courts of Bhubaneswar/Cuttack only..

  5. No correspondence shall be entertained with the candidates, not selected at any stage of selection process or for interview or thereafter..

  6. Candidates can apply for only one of the above position(s).

  7. The candidates finally selected needs to be medically fit as per company’s Medical Standards.

SELECTION PROCESS:

  1. Selection process will comprise of Telephonic Interview (if need be) and Personal Interview of shortlisted candidates.

Shortlisted candidates will submit the attested copies of the following certificates in proper and valid formats, at the time of Interview – a) Date of Birth (Xth Marksheet) (b) Qualification – Graduation, Post Graduation marksheets of all semesters with certificates,as applicable (c) Experience Certificates – Job experience certificates from current/previous Employers. In case the candidates is unable to provide this at the time of Interview, Appointment letter from the employers along with last pay slip can be enclosed. However, appointment is subject to producing Experience Certificate at the time of reporting for joining. The candidate must have similar experience in a power plant of Unit size not less than 210MW and must have strong leadership ability, excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills. Responsible for power generation operations of main plant & auxiliary systems including high voltage switchyard systems with the knowledge of Black Start Procedures, Contingency planning and emergency preparedness in order to handle the emergencies and guide the engineers. Must have ability in Grid Management, System control, Scheduling, Dispatch, Fuel Management. The candidate must have Knowledge of Power Plant Chemistry, fuel oil handling, Condenser cooling water system, bearing cooling water system, raw water system and ash disposal system in order to have a total control of entire plant. The candidate must do a good coordination among all operations for reliable plant performance. Compliance to various Organizational and Statutory Safety requirements with a belief of "Safety First" in order to foster a nonresilient Safety Culture. Must have ability to find out the KSA gaps of the subordinates through Competency Matrix and to identify the training needs to bridge those. Mentor and coach subordinate/s to develop the team’s capabilities and build a strong succession plan for leadership roles.

Responsible for Start Up, Synchronization, Shut Down and Emergency Handling of BTG from DCS by keeping a close watch on the parameters of BTG and following the SOP on Operation Techniques. Power generation operations of main plant & auxiliary system with the knowledge of Black Start Procedures, Contingency planning and emergency preparedness in order to handle the emergencies. Knowledge in Grid Management, System control, Scheduling, Dispatch, Fuel Management, Power Plant Chemistry, fuel oil handling, Condenser cooling water system, bearing cooling water system, raw water system, and ash disposal system. Compliance to various Organizational and Statutory Safety requirements with a belief of "Safety First" in order to foster a nonresilient Safety Culture. Issuance of Safety work permit, Ensuring the isolation as per Safety work permit. Must be a team player with an ability and willingness to work with people of different culture and back ground.
